Birthdays

Matthew was invited to two birthday parties this past week. Last Saturday we went to Jake's 2nd b-day- it was also his sister Mia's 3rd birthday so it was a combo pirate/princess party. Matthew got to wear his pirate costume that he wore this past Halloween. Amazing that it still fit. The party was a lot of fun.......face painting, cupcake decorating, bouncy tent and lots of food :)

During the party they had Coach Pat, come over and lead the little tykes in activities. Always disturbing to see a 50 year old man leading around 15 little boys dressed like pirates. "Scott wrote this, don't mind him" Mara

On Monday it was Ashley's birthday. For the first time I really realized the differences between boys and girls. Matthew was the only boy at the party -go Matty :) What a difference in energy levels...... Party was lots of fun- Elmo was the theme.

Happy Birthday Jake, Mia and Ashley

Turning 40

It's been a big year for a lot of us turning 40. For me personally, I did not like turning 40 - it especially hits me when I get on the treadmill and I am programming my info. weight, age etc. and I really can't believe I am 40! I know it's just a number.....blah blah blah.....

Diane, Pam and I decided to help ring in the year by going to Moheghan Sun (casino and spa) in Connecticut. We saw Kevin James (comedian from the show King of Queens)-very funny. We got massages, ate really well, gambled a little, and of course drank. It was a nice little getaway. Thanks to Diane's aunt we got rooms and tickets to the show.....Thanks Aunt Louise :)
